For about the past 2-6 months a noise from the rear wheels on my 2000 Volvo S80 has become worse. The noise seems to be coming from both but more the right than the left. The noise is like a VOOM VOOM VOOM noise that gets worse as the car takes off, and has a slight vibration. I just had the tires replaced and balanced, and the mechanic thinks this is a wheel bearing problem. Do my symptoms seem as faulty wheel bearings are the case?
