I have a 85 740 gle. My intermittant stopped working and now my wipers won't park, they stop at the spot they are at when I turn the switch off. So far I have replaced in this order, the relay, the motor, and the switch/lever on the steering coluum. I'm thinking next maybe I have a bad connection in the fuse box. I heard the horn and the wipers are on the same fuse and the horn seems weak, maybe that's a clue. Any suggestions?

If you've changed all those parts, it's probably a wire.

Park is a separate circuit within the wiper motor. The other speeds have connection through the entire 360º turn of the main gear on the wiper motor. Park is a semi-circle within the other circuits and when the contact on the motor runs out of circuit, the motor stops. This is when the wipes park.

Check for continuity from the switch through to the motor. You could also check for power coming out of the switch and, if there, follow it down to the motor.

The horn is probably weak 'cause it's in a spot where it gets badly corroded.
