Here in Florida a guy has a blue '96 850 wagon with aluminum wheels, good tires nice paint, sunroof and a leather interior. It runs and shifts good and has about 110,000 miles on it. The previous owner had dogs and they ripped the front seat leather, and he had a big stereo he pulled out and left the hole in the dash, but other then that, it is a good car. He had $1600 on the windshield and after talking for five minutes without saying a word, he said I could have it for $1400. I am sure it could be had for less. The cost to repair the one you discribed could cost as much as you paid for it.
