I have 03 XC90...There is a clicking noise that starts when we are accelerating and stays as the car is shifting...It sounds like CV joints but I had it checked out and they said the CV Joints were fine...Just had the transmission replaced and the sound was there before the replacement of the transmission as I thought the sound had something to do with the transmission...could this be the drive shaft going bad? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

If your clicking noise sounds like it is in the center of the car under the shifter, and sounds like someone is tapping on metal, it is most likely the drive shaft. When you have someone raise the car on a lift, and run the car in gear it will sound like something is loose inside the drive shaft.turn off the dstc/stc switch before running the car on the lift. You might still set abs codes though when doing this that will need to be reset.
