2000 S40 Passenger side, rear door, trim realignment

Hi! I just recently purchased a 2000 S40. Overall in great condition, but needs a few tweeks here and there. The rear passenger door had been replaced, and the side trim is not in exact alignment with the front passenger door. Off by about an inch. Does anyone have suggestions on the best way to remove and reattach the piece of trim?? Can it be an at home fix?? Thanks!!
